Mark Young

I was born and raised in Livonia and was home schooled all the way through high school graduation. I have always loved making things and would build things out of cardboard since I was old enough to have scissors. That desire to create, coupled with a love for history, specifically medieval arms and armor, lead me to try my hand at forging. I began teaching myself blacksmithing in early high school and received formal training in 2022. I have sold products at local farmers markets and craft fairs and continue as a hobby. I am excited by the opportunity to help others learn a historic skill and carry on the legacy of centuries of craftsmen. I currently live on a homestead in South Lyon with my family and lots of animals.
